We have officially started our 2nd quarter for this school year. Many students have commented on how quickly the quarter flew by. I agree! Our year is 1/4 completed. Tuesday night was parent/teacher conferences.
Our 7th grade students held their own student led conferences and it seems that everything went well.
I enjoyed visiting with parents and I got some insight which was helpful to me and to my students.
Following are a few tidbits of information that was shared on Tuesday.
1. Math requires organization. Keeping your math notebook with daily assignments and labeling each assignment is a huge help.
2. Neatness counts! If you cannot read your own work, you WILL make mistakes.
3. Ask for help before it is too late. We have honor students who have volunteered to tutor. I am available after school each night. All materials are on the website so make use of the tutorials and other study tools.
4. Homework is essential to learning. If you are not practicing by doing your homework, you will not achieve the skills you need to pass the test.
5. Track your work and grades by using the portal. You are responsible for your own success!
